Vintage Burn is a fat burning dietary supplement from Old School Labs, a US company who sell their products on Amazon.
The Amazon page has the “bestseller” tag next to the product photo, which could be a sign of Vintage Burn’s popularity or quality. It could equally mean very little as we have come to realize about the mega shopping site’s methods.
As it turns out, our fondness of Vintage Burn lives and dies with the artistic design on the bottles of pills.
The formula is not outstanding – not as bad as many others though – and it’s also at a price point that puts it up against some of the big hitting fat burners, and that doesn’t help its cause.
Just another product to add to the pile of mediocre fat burners out there.

Advertised Benefits of Vintage Burn
Old School Labs describe their fat burner as a “highly effective thermogenic” which increases metabolism, converts fat to energy and retains muscle mass. They actually claim it’s the “World’s First Muscle-Preserving Fat Burner” – which is just plain silly talk.
Fairly straight forward and standard sales pitch. Here’s the bullets:
- Promotion of Weight Loss
- Preservation of Muscle Mass
- Improvement of Mood and Focus
We assume the muscle retention element is the inclusion of Forskohlii and Chrysin in the formula. The maximum you would get in this supplement is 120mg and 200mg a day respectively which is not enough to do much at all.
In fact, Chrysin cannot produce its testosterone boosting effect in dosages small enough to be convenient. It just doesn’t work at the milligram level.
How Does Vintage Burn Work?
We can tell you how it’s intended to work. The recipe gives us that information, and credit to Old School Labs for having an open formula and showing each quantity on the label.
There is a thermogenic element, due to the inclusion of caffeine, green tea, raspberry ketones and garcinia.
However, the only really effective ingredients there are caffeine and green tea. They are included at decent dosages.
We’ve already talked about the muscle preservation aspect in the section above. Chrysin and Forskolin won’t do much at all at their included rates.
As for improved mood and focus, that comes in the form of nootropic/cognitive enhancing compound Bacopa, a stress reliever and adaptogen which can do what they say. It’s not a bad dose either.
There are a couple other inclusions that are supposed to block carbs and regulate blood sugar. The doses are pretty weak though.
Ingredients in Vintage Burn
Below are the ingredients and inclusion rates of 2 capsules. There are 4 capsules in the recommended daily total, so double these to get that.
Ingredient | Quantity |
---|---|
Green Tea Leaf extract | 330mg |
Green Coffee Bean extract | 270mg |
Raspberry Ketones | 200mg |
Olive Leaf Extract | 160mg |
Caffeine | 150mg |
Bacopa Leaf extract | 130mg |
Garcinia Fruit extract | 100mg |
Chrysin | 100mg |
Forskohlii | 60mg |
As discussed, we’d say caffeine, green tea and bacopa are included at effective dosages. The rest is fairly under-dosed in our opinion.
Follow the guidelines though, do not take more than the recommended dose, because you would be consuming too much caffeine.
Vintage Burn Customer Comments
There are several thousand reviews on Amazon, but as a rule we don’t tend to take those at face value because there are too many issues with the ‘verified customer’ system that Amazon has.
Finding comments independent of the Old School Labs website or Amazon has proven next to impossible.
Side Effects and Health Considerations
There appears to be no negative side effects of any note. People who are especially sensitive to caffeine may feel a little light headed etc. but for most people it will be well tolerated.
Pregnant and nursing women should not take Vintage Burn. Neither should people under 18 or elderly people.
If you take medication or have a medical condition, please consult your doctor before taking a supplement like this.
The Judgement – Is Vintage Burn Recommended?
Three of the ingredients are included at effective quantities, and they will have some effect.
Sadly the rest of the formula doesn’t amount to much, even at 2 servings a day.
Ironically, if they put only one or two more effective ingredients as well as caffeine, green tea and bacopa, the formula would be much better.
As is stands, we don’t recommend Vintage Burn at the roughly $50 USD price tag.
For less money you can get the fat burner we consider to be the most hardcore US and UK manufactured product available. You’ll also get some free stuff and free worldwide shipping depending on the package you get.
Check out IKO, you won’t regret it.
