Burnz is manufactured by LMNITRIX and designed to be a thermogenic fat burner. Initially, we brushed it off as yet another mediocre fat burner, but it would have been unfair to settle with that.
Yes, it’s sold on Amazon, like all the crappy fat burners are, but we sometimes forget there are decent products available on the jungle too, so that’s a non-starter.
The other reason is that the first half of its formula is fairly uninteresting. Hence the initial judgement, but as you read on, there’s more to Burnz than first meets the eye.
So, with our intrigue piqued, Burnz made it to our review-to-do pile, and here we are.
Burnz is a stimulant lovers’ supplement and one with a focus on…well, focus

Advertised Benefits of Burnz
The manufacturer, LMNITRIX – however that’s pronounced – puts what looks like a warning at the beginning of their product description. It’s actually just a crafty sales tactic, but they get points for originality.
“WARNING: SUPER INTENSE FAT BURNER…” It starts, before they go on to say how their other less stimulant based fat burners are better for you if you are sensitive to stimulants.
So, a sales pitch within a sales pitch…but they might have a point, if only for the caffeine content – a 250mg dose per pill.
Which comes to 500mg of caffeine if you take the 2 servings per day. And that’s before the other ingredients that are touted as stimulants come into the equation.
Anyway, the benefits they want to get across are:
- Intense Fat Burning (super intense, sorry)
- “Ultimate Plateau Destroyer”
- Guaranteed Results – or your money back
The second one there – the “Ultimate Plateau Destroyer” – basically they are saying if you use it pre-workout you will feel it (because of the nootropics + stimulants), even if you have become numb to other fat burners and supplements.
There’s a lot of emphasis on feeling the results, and that’s because they’ve gone to the effort of putting in nootropic ingredients.
Nootropic ingredients are those which increase cognitive function, whether it be an increase in focus or a decrease in stress (during intense exercise for example). Or an improvement in something called the mind-muscle connection, which is difficult to quantify but ‘feels’ like a tighter connection between the brain and working muscles.
Ingredients in Burnz
The following ingredients are as per 1 capsule of Burnz.
Ingredient | Quantity |
---|---|
Caffeine Anhydrous | 250mg |
Choline Bitartrate | 167mg |
L-Carnitine Tartrate | 140mg |
Hordenine | 60mg |
Capsimax | 30mg |
Dendrobium 4:1 | 30mg |
Higenamine HCl | 4.5mg |
Huperzine-A | 500mcg |
Huperzine-A and Choline are good nootropic ingredients. Choline is in a medium dose and Hup-A is good.
Hordenine is a fat burner similar to Synephrine but can double as a nootropic a bit like L-Tyrosine.
Higenamine is interesting because it exhibits similar fat burning properties as ephedrine (one of those infamous stimulants that may or may not be safe, and may or may not be legal depending on where you are in the world). So far, Higenamine is young in terms of research but looks promising.
Capsimax is a patented blend of hot pepper extract, black pepper and vitamin B. It’s good, but there isn’t that much here. Maybe enough to enhance the absorption and bioavailability of all the other ingredients.
Dendrobium is the only real dud in our opinion. It was once thought to contain a powerful stimulant but there isn’t much evidence of it from scientific research.
Side Effects and Health Considerations
The stimulants in Burnz are definitely the centre of this supplement, so if you are sensitive even to caffeine’s side effects, this one is not for you.
Similarly if you are taking medication or have a medical condition that in any way affects your suitability for this or other supplements like it, play it safe and try something less stimulant-based.
Pregnant and nursing mothers should avoid Burnz, as should elderly people and anyone under the age of 18.
The Judgement – Is Burnz Recommended?
We liked Burnz. It gives a snappy edge to your focus if you take it before training. If you take the two pills then it might give you a bit of a sludgy caffeine feeling later on, and 2 pills is definitely not for people who get trippy and jittery on too much caffeine.
As for losing fat and keeping muscle, it could be better. We like a strong appetite suppressor when we’re cutting so that we can cut some of the junky calories out at the source.
Not bad in the end, Burnz, but we’d still recommend another more rounded and total cutting formula in Instant Knockout.
